TrackMade makes terrain models from people's GPS tracks. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We treat a GPS track as personal information: it can show where you live, work or train.
What we collect
- Your order: email address, the size and lettering you choose, and your track (a link, uploaded files, the Strava activities you pick, or a route name).
- Checkout: your name, shipping address and phone number, collected by our payment provider Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact or custom-request forms, and your email address so we can reply.
How we use it
To build your model, send you the 3D preview and order emails, ship it, and answer your questions. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't send marketing emails. We won't post your model or track publicly without asking you first.
Strava
If you connect Strava, we read the activities you choose so you can add them to your order. Your Strava sign-in is kept in an encrypted cookie in your browser for up to a day, not on our servers. We never post to Strava, and you can disconnect at any time, on our site or in your Strava settings.
Who helps us
We use a few service providers to run the shop: Stripe (payments), Supabase (our order database and track storage), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (order emails). They handle information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store data outside Australia.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies at the moment. The site uses a short-lived cookie when you connect Strava, and your browser's session storage to remember your design while you sign in. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we'll update this page first.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 5 years, as Australian tax law requires. Once your order has been delivered you can ask us to delete your track and preview images sooner.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you through the contact form. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
